Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Long Dong (ranked 6670 p4p, 5132 weight class) and Mike Brown (ranked 656 p4p, 578 weight class). Long Dong has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Long Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Brown!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Dong.
Brown waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dong.

Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dong is doing well to control the position and prevent Brown from advancing to side control.
Brown thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Dong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Brown thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dong's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A quick step to the side and Dong tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dong wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A quick step to the side and Dong tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Dong's temple.
