PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Diogo Jimenez (ranked 1109 p4p, 3163 weight class) and Henry Wallace (ranked 123 p4p, 303 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diogo Jimenez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Henry Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Jimenez throws a lazy right hand but Wallace sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've been informed that Wallace has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wallace lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

After the fight, Diogo Jimenez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
