Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mental Warrior (ranked 1532 p4p, 23440 weight class) and Abdullah Zaire (ranked 223 p4p, 690 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Warrior might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Side to Side. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abdullah Zaire was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zaire was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Warrior throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Zaire appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A cross from Warrior lands.
Warrior takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Zaire slips a straight right by Warrior.
Warrior takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Warrior throws a hook but Zaire avoids it easily.
It seemed like Zaire was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Warrior dips to his left and cracks Zaire with an uppercut!
Warrior works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zaire jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Warrior walks away with a smile on his face. Zaire gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Zaire takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Zaire thuds his right hand into Warrior's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Zaire slips a jab from Warrior.
A looping hook to the body misses from Warrior. Zaire does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zaire fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Warrior checks it well.
Zaire lands a really nice looking cross but Warrior seems unphased.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Warrior lands a big right hand that sends Zaire crashing to the mat! Warrior stays standing though and waves Zaire back to his feet!

Warrior is stalking Zaire. Zaire circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Warrior, and it's lights out! Zaire really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
