Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Jun (ranked 1203 p4p, 719 weight class) and Yoshihiro Asai (ranked 65 p4p, 39 weight class). Asai has chosen Dragon as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jun fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Asai , pushing him back against the cage.
Asai misses with some punches.
Asai misses with a hook to the ribs.
Jun scores with a shot to the side of Asai 's head.
Jun lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Asai backwards.

Jun tries to pull guard but Asai won't allow it.
Jun misses with a hook from the clinch.

Jun jumps guard but Asai stands there with Jun around his waist. Jun gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Yoshihiro Asai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Asai will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Asai darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Jun decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Asai 's guard.
Jun postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Asai enables Jun to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Asai manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jun is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Asai defends well.

Jun pushes a forearm under Asai 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Asai is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
