Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frasier Voltaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Parrot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Parrot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frasier Voltaire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Parrot!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parrot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Voltaire tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Voltaire is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Parrot trying to control but Voltaire is working from the bottom.
Parrot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Voltaire. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Parrot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Voltaire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parrot wants to control from the top but Voltaire keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Voltaire explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Parrot shoots in for a double leg but Voltaire sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Voltaire tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parrot.
Parrot doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Parrot swings around for an armbar but Voltaire sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Parrot's guard.
Voltaire slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parrot regains half guard.

Voltaire thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parrot's head.
Voltaire wants to stand but Parrot has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Parrot won't allow Voltaire to pass to mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Voltaire is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Parrot!

Voltaire looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Parrot is looking to get to half guard.

Voltaire looking to control but Parrot is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Parrot tries to reverse the position but Voltaire maintains control.
Voltaire scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Parrot tries to hold on but Voltaire pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parrot is in all sorts of trouble here.
Parrot bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Parrot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close round but I would say that Frasier Voltaire will probably get the nod.

Parrot shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Parrot was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Voltaire tries to hold on but Parrot postures up.
Parrot throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Parrot tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Parrot takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Voltaire tries to reverse the position but Parrot maintains control.

Let's hope that Parrot has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Voltaire is trying to get back to his feet but Parrot has full control of the position and if anything, Voltaire has just worked his way into a worse spot.

What can Voltaire do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Parrot is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Voltaire has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mike Parrot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Voltaire looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Parrot puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Voltaire wants to get back to his feet.
Parrot looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Parrot is working for a kimura but Voltaire is defending it quite comfortably.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Voltaire has his foot on Parrot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parrot works his way back into a safe position though.

Parrot is taking a breather. Voltaire says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Voltaire is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Voltaire wants to control but Parrot is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Parrot content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mike Parrot comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Parrot has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
