Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Christenovic (ranked 5877 p4p, 5734 weight class) and Ivars Ivanovs (ranked 516 p4p, 510 weight class). Ivanovs has chosen Poppy - Play Destroy (feat. Grimes) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivars Ivanovs!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Christenovic.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ivanovs has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ivanovs lands a body shot.
Christenovic works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Christenovic scores with a head kick.
Ivanovs tries to bum rush Christenovic with a series of wild strikes but Christenovic uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ivanovs gets tackled into the cage by Christenovic. Christenovic maintains the clinch.

Christenovic lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Ivanovs is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Christenovic is keeping busy.

Ivanovs swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Christenovic counters with a crisp one two that drops Ivanovs! Christenovic thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ivanovs to his feet! Ivanovs is in big trouble!
Ivanovs is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Christenovic throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Ivanovs is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
