Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Connor Mac Burns!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kong cracks Burns with a good jab.
Burns throws a series of punches but Kong avoids them all with ease.
The fighters circling - Kong throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Burns will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Burns lands a left and a right that send Kong crashing to the mat, dazed. Burns thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Cole Kong has been cut.
Kong has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Burns drops Kong with a beautiful combination! Kong stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Burns is looking for the KO!
Kong dodges the punch combination from Burns.

Kong feints and as Burns raises his hands in defense, Kong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Burns pushes Kong off and scrambles back to his feet.
Burns lands a jab.

Burns pushes Kong up against the cage in a clinch.
Burns lands a body shot in the clinch.
Burns cracks Kong with a nice body shot.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Burns with a knee to the head.
Kong scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kong fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cole Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burns creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kong's defenses.

Kong breaks the clinch.
Kong on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Cole Kong's cut is getting worse.
Burns takes one to the chin there.

Burns drops Kong with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kong looks back up at him and smiles so Burns waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kong fails to land the takedown.
The fighters circling - Kong throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Burns closes the distance and clinches.
Burns working some nice short punches in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Burns escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kong throws a head kick that misses.
Kong throws a jab when Burns was well out of range.
It seemed like Burns was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Burns scores with a hook to the body. Kong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Burns jabs Kong right on the nose. Kong blinks but takes it well.

Kong is rocked!

Cole Kong's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Burns lands a brutal uppercut that launches Kong off his feet! Kong tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

After winning the bout, Connor Mac Burns thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
