Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Claus Haba (ranked 1607 p4p, 1394 weight class) and Harti Kraus (ranked 79 p4p, 71 weight class). Kraus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. New World Symphony 4th Movement kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Claus Haba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Harti Kraus!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Haba. Those never looked like landing.
Kraus uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Haba has time to react.

It looks like Claus Haba has been cut.
Kraus connects with a good right hand that stumbles Haba. Haba circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Haba clinches up against the cage.
Kraus lands a right hand that snaps the head of Haba backwards.

Haba manages to break the clinch.
Haba displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kraus.

Haba darts in and clinches Kraus up against the cage.

Haba breaks the clinch.
Kraus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Haba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kraus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kraus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Haba looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Haba is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kraus looks for a takedown but Haba sprawls well.
We've been hearing reports that Haba has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kraus tries to clinch up but Haba circles away and keeps his distance.
Haba takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Kraus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kraus manages to avoid it.
Haba wants to clinch up but Kraus keeps it at a distance.
Kraus follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Haba throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kraus was covering up waiting for the punch and Haba finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Haba wants to pass the guard but Kraus is keeping the position.
Haba wants to control from the top but Kraus keeps moving.
Haba wants to stand but Kraus is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kraus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Haba is aware though and is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Haba is pressing down on Kraus's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kraus is holding on for now.
Kraus manages to get to full guard.
Haba trying to control the position from guard on top but Kraus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kraus is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haba wants to get up but he can't break Kraus's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kraus lands with a hook. Haba tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Haba misses with a series of wild punches.

As Kraus looks to move away, Haba throws a big counter combo but Kraus just gets out of the way.
Claus Haba is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Haba slips under a jab from Kraus.
Haba appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Haba showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kraus.
Kraus shoots in for a takedown but Haba shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kraus loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kraus postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Haba is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kraus, into his guard.

Haba avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kraus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Haba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Haba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

and Haba counters with a three punch combo that has Kraus backing up. Kraus nods at Haba to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haba throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kraus lunges at Haba with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Haba's hand.
Kraus cracks Haba with a good jab.
Kraus connects with a nice looking jab.
Kraus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Haba circles away quickly and effectively.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kraus.

That was a close second round but I would say that Claus Haba will probably get the nod.

Haba fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Haba slips a jab and a cross from Kraus.
Kraus throws a right hand that Haba ducks under and follows up with a left that Haba also avoids with ease.
It looked like Haba was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kraus.
Haba connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kraus's hands.
Kraus avoids the body shot from Haba.

Kraus lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Haba sprawling to the canvas. Kraus follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Haba hang on?

Haba is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Haba wants to get back to his feet.
Oh Haba is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Haba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kraus wants to work for an arm triangle but Haba is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kraus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kraus has managed to get both his arms back between Haba's legs - danger averted.
Kraus postures up and lands a big shot to Haba's brow.
Kraus lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Kraus arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Haba's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Harti Kraus!
An intense looking Harti Kraus took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'I see all of these sleazzy bantambums running. Make no mistake the title is next. "The champ" is sitting there petrified and that's how I plan to leave him. Look at his opponent?? 8-9 record? Paddin' the old record of your champ are we now... He can't run forever, and you know I'm knocking down ever'.
