Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Oneill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oneill comes to the ring accompanied by Crazy Train. Mickey Oneill had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Oneill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill Compton!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneill lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Compton circles away quickly and effectively.
Oneill lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Compton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Oneill paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Oneill smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Oneill lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Compton at a distance.
Oneill throws a head kick that misses.
A head kick misses from Compton.
Oneill scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Compton looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Oneill counters with a series of strikes. Compton will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Compton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Compton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oneill.

Compton has Oneill pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Oneill manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

It looks like Mickey Oneill has been cut.

Oneill changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Compton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Compton tries to close the distance and clinch but Oneill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Oneill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Compton as he avoids it easily.

Compton tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Oneill counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oneill throws a series of punches but Compton moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Oneill.
Compton tries to close the distance and clinch but Oneill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Compton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oneill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Compton manages to avoid it.

Oneill wants to break the clinch but can't.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mickey Oneill will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Compton is looking to clinch.
Compton closes the distance but Oneill moves to the side
and Oneill counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Oneill throws a series of punches but Compton moves out of range.
Compton doesn't manage to clinch there - Oneill circles away.
Compton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Compton there as he acknowledges the shot.
Oneill misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oneill swats away the attempt to clinch by Compton.

Compton moves into the clinch successfully.

Compton lands an elbow just above Oneill 's eye.

Compton pulls Oneill into guard.

Compton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oneill can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Compton is trying to keep Oneill in close.

Compton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oneill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Oneill stands and steps away. Compton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Oneill avoids the head kick by Compton.

Compton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oneill throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oneill tries a head kick but it misses.
Bill Compton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Oneill lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Compton has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Compton and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Oneill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Compton looks to clinch
and Oneill counters with a nice uppercut.

Compton tries to clinch there but Oneill circles away.
Compton takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Oneill is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Oneill!
Oneill tries to land a front kick but Compton steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Compton shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
No luck for Oneill with that takedown attempt.
Oneill lands with an uppercut that bounces Compton off the ropes and back into rage.
Compton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Oneill throws out the jab.

Oneill throws a left and a right that both miss

and Compton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Compton.
Oneill is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Compton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Compton throws an elbow that misses.
Compton comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


Mickey Oneill's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Compton creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Oneill's defenses.
Oneill takes an elbow to the forehead.


Jeez, Mickey Oneill's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mickey Oneill's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
