Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Kyshenko (ranked 3773 p4p, 3789 weight class) and Juares Dea (ranked 472 p4p, 475 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raul Kyshenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Juares Dea!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kyshenko.
Kyshenko dives in and grabs Dea's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dea pushes down on Kyshenko's head and hops out.

Dea steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Kyshenko.

Dea misses with a two punch combination.
Dea throws a sloppy head kick and Kyshenko moves out of range easily.
Kyshenko seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Dea fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kyshenko, pushing him back against the cage.

It looks like Raul Kyshenko has been cut.
Kyshenko tries to score a body lock takedown but Dea shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Dea manages to break the clinch.
Kyshenko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kyshenko shoots in for a takedown but Dea shows good takedown defense.

Dea pushes Kyshenko up against the cage in a clinch.
Kyshenko has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dea after a bit of a struggle.
Dea stops a takedown attempt from Kyshenko.
Kyshenko is breathing heavily.

Dea ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dea no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kyshenko won't allow Dea to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dea looking to control.
Dea has his hands on Kyshenko's head, controlling the position.
Let's hope that Dea has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kyshenko passes Dea's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kyshenko tries to pass to full mount but Dea defends it.

Dea is not content to let Kyshenko control the position.
Dea is looking to control Kyshenko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dea avoid being mounted?

Kyshenko prevents Dea from standing back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kyshenko tries for a takedown but Dea circles away easily

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
and Dea counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kyshenko!
Kyshenko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dea's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Dea wants to stand up but Kyshenko is controlling the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dea trying to control from half guard but Kyshenko is working away.

Dea wants to free his trapped foot but Kyshenko is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kyshenko is positioning himself well to prevent Dea advancing to mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dea is looking to take a break and control but Kyshenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kyshenko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kyshenko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dea napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dea pecks away with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Juares Dea has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kyshenko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Kyshenko swings around for an armbar but Dea sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kyshenko's guard.
Dea stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kyshenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kyshenko has his foot on Dea's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dea works his way back into a safe position though.

Kyshenko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dea decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Raul Kyshenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dea shoots for a double leg takedown but Kyshenko sprawls well. He's pushed Dea's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kyshenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Dea tries to sprawl out of it but Kyshenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dea manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kyshenko shoots in for a double leg but Dea sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dea stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dea wants it to stay on the feet.

and Dea holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Dea gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kyshenko regains guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kyshenko is looking for a triangle but Dea pushes his legs off easily.

Dea stands and steps away. Kyshenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Dea fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kyshenko to the ground. Dea is now in Kyshenko's guard.
Dea stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kyshenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dea wants to control from the top but Kyshenko keeps moving.

Kyshenko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Dea slips nicely into half guard.
Dea trying to control the action but Kyshenko is working from the bottom.

Dea looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dea works his foot free and advances to mount.
Dea has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dea gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dea fails to land the takedown.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Juares Dea showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Kyshenko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Dea feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kyshenko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dea works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dea lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Dea passes to full mount!

Kyshenko is squirming around, avoiding Dea's attempts to control the action.
Kyshenko is desperately trying to improve his position but Dea has a good base and remains in mount.

Dea gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Kyshenko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dea wants to counter with a clinch but Kyshenko pushes him away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kyshenko.

Dea shoots in and bounces Kyshenko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kyshenko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dea defends it easily.

Dea tries to free his leg and advance position but Kyshenko is retaining full guard.
Dea slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Dea working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Dea stands up and beckons Kyshenko to his feet.

Dea gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kyshenko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dea wants to sweep here but Kyshenko controlling him for the moment.

Dea looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kyshenko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dea manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kyshenko has Dea in his guard.


Kyshenko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dea forces his way into half guard.

Dea is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kyshenko is looking for a sweep. Dea is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Juares Dea comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dea has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
