The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Friedman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boy is trying to defend but Friedman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Boy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Friedman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

David Friedman dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Boy lands a big uppercut and Friedman crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Friedman looks OK. Boy waves Friedman back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Boy counters with a nice uppercut.

Friedman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Friedman slips a jab and a cross from Boy.
Boy is breathing heavily.
Friedman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Friedman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Friedman throws a sloppy head kick
and Boy counters with a stiff right hand.
Friedman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Friedman has his takedown stuffed
and Friedman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Boy misses with the combination.

Boy clinches up with Friedman and pushes him back against the cage.
Friedman tries for a takedown but Boy manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Friedman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boy is working Friedman over against the cage.
Boy scores with a nice hook to the head.

David Friedman's cut is getting worse.
A left hand lands to the body for Boy.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Boy creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Boy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Friedman backwards.
Boy stops a takedown attempt from Friedman.
Nice body punch from Boy.
Friedman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Boy is pressed up against the cage. Friedman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boy down to the mat. Boy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Boy scores with a jab. Friedman acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Oh Friedman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boy plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Friedman to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Friedman just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rio Boy!
