Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mmagods Blessmee (ranked 4493 p4p, 5071 weight class) and Zohib Ahmadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zohib Ahmadi!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmadi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blessmee.
Ahmadi throws a counter combo.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ahmadi jumps guard and drags Blessmee to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Blessmee wanted to stand there but Ahmadi had control of the position.
Blessmee wants to control from the top but Ahmadi keeps moving.
Ahmadi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blessmee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ahmadi throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Blessmee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ahmadi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blessmee has managed to get both his arms back between Ahmadi's legs - danger averted.
Ahmadi is pulling down on Blessmee's head to control his posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ahmadi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blessmee on his heels. He'll look to pass Blessmee's guard now, I'm sure.

Ahmadi is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Ahmadi with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ahmadi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blessmee wants to stand and escape but Ahmadi is having none of it.

Let's hope that Ahmadi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ahmadi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ahmadi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blessmee keeps working.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blessmee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Blessmee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ahmadi.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Ahmadi tries for a takedown but Blessmee circles away easily
and Blessmee counters with a stiff right hand.
Ahmadi clinches up with Blessmee and pushes him back against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Blessmee swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Ahmadi manages to pull guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice straight punches there by Blessmee. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Blessmee.

Ahmadi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Zohib Ahmadi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ahmadi dives in and grabs Blessmee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blessmee pushes down on Ahmadi's head and hops out.
A little feinted left hand from Blessmee on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

and Ahmadi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ahmadi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blessmee swivels and escapes.
It looked like Blessmee wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mmagods Blessmee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zohib Ahmadi.
Ahmadi tries to clinch up.
Ahmadi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blessmee.
Ahmadi moves in looking to clinch but Blessmee pushes him off.

Blessmee catches Ahmadi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Horrible takedown attempt by Ahmadi or perhaps it was just good defense by Blessmee, which made it look bad.
Ahmadi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blessmee's waist but Blessmee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ahmadi off to one side.
It looked like Blessmee wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Ahmadi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blessmee throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ahmadi on the side of the head.
