Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frederico Garcia (ranked 4749 p4p, 2966 weight class) and Craque Neto (ranked 460 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frederico Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Craque Neto! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia fails with the takedown. Neto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Garcia as he avoids it easily. Neto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garcia tries to avoid it but Neto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garcia to the ground. Garcia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Neto avoids a kick to the body.
Garcia throws a head kick but Neto moves out of range.
Neto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia.
Garcia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Neto swivels and escapes. Neto tries for a takedown but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Frederico Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craque Neto. Garcia leaves Neto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neto shoots in for a double leg but Garcia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Garcia shoots in and drives through. Neto sprawls well. Neto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Garcia swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Garcia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Neto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garcia somewhat. Neto is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Neto gets in close and instigates a clinch. Neto misses with a knee strike.

Neto decides to pull guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Neto trying to keep a closed guard but Garcia is proving a slippery customer.
Garcia throwing strikes but missing. Neto looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Garcia gets to his feet. Neto looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Neto throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Frederico Garcia has been cut. Garcia misses with a two punch combination.
Despite the aggression on Neto's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Garcia drives through and clinches with Neto against the cage.
Neto wants to take the fight to the mat but Garcia manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Neto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice sprawl there from Garcia as Neto shoots in. Neto looks winded! Garcia forces Neto back against the cage and clinches. A nice glancing elbow lands by Garcia. Garcia gets control of Neto's arms and successfully pulls guard. Garcia will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Neto trying to control the position from guard on top but Garcia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Neto's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Neto wants to pass the guard but Garcia is keeping the position. Garcia controlling Neto's posture. Neto trying to control the position from guard on top but Garcia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Garcia has his foot on Neto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Neto works his way back into a safe position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Frederico Garcia will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Frederico Garcia's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Garcia throws a body kick that misses and Neto counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Neto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Garcia sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Garcia or perhaps it was just good defense by Neto, which made it look bad. Garcia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. As Neto looks to move away, Garcia throws a big counter combo but Neto just gets out of the way. Garcia closes this distance looking for a takedown but Neto circles away. Neto crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Garcia - the referee stops the clock and Neto gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Garcia. Neto manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Garcia gets a clinch. Garcia tries for a takedown. No joy.
Garcia is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Garcia throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Garcia is adopting a defensive guard. Neto throws a strike but Garcia rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Neto looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Garcia puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garcia sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Neto defending well though. Neto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Neto wants to sweep but Garcia has passed to side control! Garcia stands up and we're back to a striking position. Neto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garcia. Neto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Craque Neto seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Neto darts in looking for a takedown but Garcia gets double underhooks and turns Neto into the cage. Garcia shoots in for a takedown but Neto shows good takedown defense. Neto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garcia circles away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Garcia throws a head kick but Neto moves out of range.
Neto is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Garcia with a body shot. Neto shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Neto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Neto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Neto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Garcia sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice body kick from Garcia. Garcia darts in and clinches Neto up against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Garcia just misses with a elbow thrown towards Neto's brow. Garcia pulls Neto into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neto looking to sit in guard and control but Garcia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Garcia missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Neto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Garcia slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Neto is being controlled here. Garcia misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Garcia decides to stand back up. Garcia steps back and let's Neto get back to his feet. Neto shoots and misses and Garcia counters with a left and a right that stings Neto. Frederico Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craque Neto. Garcia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Neto as he jumps to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia pushes Neto up against the cage in a clinch. Neto drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Neto has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Garcia avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Garcia is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Garcia tries to throw a body punch but Neto avoids it by throwing Garcia back against the cage. Garcia tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Neto smiles and moves away.
Garcia pushes Neto up against the cage in a clinch. Garcia is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Neto can do to turn this around? Garcia tries to score a body lock takedown but Neto shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Garcia manages to break the clinch.

Neto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Garcia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Neto to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Neto is looking to stand up but Garcia won't let him.
And that's the end of the fight! Frederico Garcia showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garcia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
