The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fifty fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fiftyone sprawls well initially but Fifty persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fiftyone gets full guard.
Fifty sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fiftyone's guard.
Fiftyone wants to get back to his feet.
Fifty is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fiftyone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fifty.
Fifty wants to control but Fiftyone is keeping him busy.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fiftyone is looking to improve his position.
Fifty is looking to take a break and control but Fiftyone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Fifty wants to stand and escape but instead Fiftyone has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Fifty can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fiftyone controls the pace.
Fiftyone postures up in Fifty's guard and throws a big left but Fifty blocks it.
Fiftyone throwing strikes from guard but Fifty blocks nicely.
Fiftyone throws a strike but Fifty rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fifty tries to free his leg and advance position but Fiftyone is retaining full guard.

Fiftyone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Subject Fifty.
Well Fifty has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
