Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karate Sasuke (ranked 2171 p4p, 6062 weight class) and Morris Day (ranked 223 p4p, 425 weight class). Morris Day acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karate Sasuke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morris Day!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day dives in for a single leg takedown but Sasuke sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sasuke just misses with a punch to the body.
Day shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sasuke defends it nicely.
Day misses with a takedown attempt
and Sasuke counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Karate Sasuke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morris Day.
Sasuke lands with an uppercut that bounces Day off the cage and back into range.
Sasuke connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

and Sasuke counters with a left to the body.
Day is still on wobbly legs! Can Sasuke finish him?
Sasuke throws the left hand but Day avoids the punch easily.
Sasuke scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Day seems to have recovered his senses.

Day drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Day stops Sasuke from standing up.
Day in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sasuke wants to stand up but Day is controlling him.
Day scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Day has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sasuke wriggles free and stands up.
Day shoots in looking for a takedown. Sasuke tries to sprawl out of it but Day keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sasuke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've been told by Sasuke's head coaches at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Day takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Sasuke counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Day thinking.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Day is defended easily by Sasuke.
Sasuke was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Day shoots and misses
and Day takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Karate Sasuke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Day looks winded!
Day takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Day.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sasuke comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Day takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Day takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Sasuke sends Day crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Sasuke is motioning to the referee to let Day up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Sasuke lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
