PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wallace Cobb (ranked 35 p4p, 90 weight class) and Just Whymer (ranked 7 p4p, 17 weight class). Cobb comes to the cage accompanied by Where's Wallace?. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 26 - 11 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Just Whymer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Cobb, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cobb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cobb getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Cobb moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Cobb swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Whymer.
Whymer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cobb at a distance.
Cobb takes one to the chin there.
Nice defenses there by Whymer.
Cobb takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Whymer scores with a counter punch that sends Cobb to the canvas! Whymer smells blood - he's punishing Cobb with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Cobb has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Just Whymer!
A very excited looking Just Whymer made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
