Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Byers (ranked 4273 p4p, 3660 weight class) and Desmond Bright (ranked 451 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bright tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Byers swivels and escapes.

Bright moves into the clinch successfully.
Bright on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Byers is looking to break free of the clinch but Bright has double underhooks.
Byers throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bright looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Byers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Byers leaves Bright with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bright moves into range and clinches up with Byers.
Byers throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Byers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Byers fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bright.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Byers is trying to break the clinch but Bright is controlling him.

Byers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Byers slips under a jab from Bright.

Byers wants to get back to striking at distance but Bright won't allow it.

Bright manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Byers is looking to pass into half guard but Bright pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bright is in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bright drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bright jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bright goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Byers is on top in guard.

Byers wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Bright's closed guard. He's half up but Bright has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Bright pivots and extends the arm, Byers falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Bright! Well done that man!
