Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Naftali Waithaka (ranked 4132 p4p, 2549 weight class) and Erik Eriksson (ranked 479 p4p, 335 weight class). Eriksson has chosen Scarlet - End in blood as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Erik Eriksson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erik Eriksson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waithaka buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Waithaka looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Waithaka uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Eriksson.
Waithaka misses with a leg kick
and Eriksson counters with a nice right hand that sends Waithaka toppling to the canvas! Waithaka scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Eriksson finish him?!
It looks like Naftali Waithaka has been cut.
Waithaka scores with a jab.
Waithaka throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Erik Eriksson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Eriksson moves out of range as Waithaka strikes.
Waithaka throws a body punch but Eriksson moves out of range.
Waithaka misses with a leg kick
and Eriksson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Eriksson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Despite the aggression on Eriksson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
A clash of legs there as Eriksson blocks the low kick.
Eriksson's corner calls for a 1-2. Eriksson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Waithaka is rocked!
Waithaka scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Waithaka throws a predictable looking body shot
and Waithaka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Oh Waithaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Eriksson counters with a crisp right that sends Waithaka to the canvas! Eriksson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Erik Eriksson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
