Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fanta Coco (ranked 1368 p4p, 700 weight class) and Gauthier Delisle (ranked 184 p4p, 105 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 26 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fanta Coco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gauthier Delisle!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Delisle.
Coco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Delisle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Delisle thows a left - swing and a miss!
Coco misses with an attempted mid kick.
Delisle feints the counter takedown.
Coco looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Coco connects with a solid leg kick.
A jab lands there for Coco.
Delisle throws out a loose jab but Coco uses good head movement to avoid it.

Delisle forces Coco back against the cage and clinches.
Coco misses with a punch to the body.
Coco tries a body shot but Delisle blocks it.

Coco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Delisle misses with a straight right.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Coco works Delisle's body with a nice hook.
A jab from Delisle misses.
Coco swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coco takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Delisle has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Coco throws a leg kick which misses Delisle's front leg but catches the back leg as Delisle tries to avoid it.
A swing and a miss from Delisle.
Coco lands a leg kick that knocks Delisle off balance momentarily.
Delisle is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Coco throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Delisle misses with a takedown attempt - Coco sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Delisle checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Coco scores with a head kick.

It looks like Gauthier Delisle has been cut.
Delisle throws a hook but Coco blocks it.
Coco is looking to chop away at Delisle's legs.
Coco throws a head kick that misses.
Delisle with the counter takedown but Coco avoids it easily.
Coco misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Delisle.
Coco throws out a leg kick but Delisle moves out of range and Coco only half commits.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coco moves out of range as Delisle strikes.
Coco slaps away a takedown attempt from Delisle, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Coco tries to clinch up

and Delisle counters with a shoot takedown. Coco fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coco can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Delisle controls the pace.
Coco keeping full guard, as Delisle tries to pass.
Coco is looking to stand up but Delisle isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Delisle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Coco's guard.
Coco is in trouble now - Delisle has advanced to mount!
Delisle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coco is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Delisle controlling the pace for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coco is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Delisle is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Coco has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Delisle won't let Coco get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Delisle controlling the position easily from mount.
Delisle's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Delisle lands a nice shot to the head.
Delisle looking to control but Coco is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Coco is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Coco wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Delisle controlling from mount.
Coco is squirming around, avoiding Delisle's attempts to control the action.

Coco tries to buck Delisle off so he can stand up but Delisle has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Coco falls backwards, slamming Delisle to the mat but Delisle holds on tight! Coco is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gauthier Delisle!
An out of breath Gauthier Delisle thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
