Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Starman (ranked 1243 p4p, 993 weight class) and Ramon Carlos (ranked 148 p4p, 118 weight class). Starman comes into the arena with David Bowie - Starman blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carlos avoids it really well and circles away.
Starman misses with a right hand
and Starman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Starman looks to land a combination but Carlos avoids it well.
Starman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Carlos eats them both and turns towards Starman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Starman counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Starman connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Starman tries to bum rush Carlos with a series of wild strikes but Carlos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've been informed that Carlos has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
