The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Assassin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lang did well to prevent Assassin getting side control.

Assassin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lang defends it well.

Assassin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Assassin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Assassin.
Lang looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Assassin on the ground.

Assassin seems to be working for a kimura but Lang defends the submission attempt.

Assassin thows a huge punch but Lang dodges it nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Assassin is trying to work for a kimura but Lang is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Assassin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lang pinned against the cage. Lang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
James Lang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Assassin.

Lang connects with a good right hand that stumbles Assassin. Assassin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lang scores with a jab to the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lang misses with a few strikes there.
Lang scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Assassin doesn't seem bothered though.
Lang drops Assassin with a naaaaasty hook - Assassin is in real trouble here! Lang dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
