The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brooks.
Wood throwing a counter right hand but Brooks manages to avoid it.
Brooks throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Brooks misses with an uppercut
and Wood cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A big left from Brooks misses.
Brooks with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wood to score with a decent uppercut.
Brooks thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wood rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Brooks cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wood misses with a straight right.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Brooks! But no joy.
Brooks lands with a thumping leg kick.

Wood throws a body shot but no joy.
Brooks throws out a counter right but Wood avoids it with no problem.
Brooks throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Brooks moves out of range as Wood throws a body kick.
Brooks swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Brooks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wood's head backwards.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wood.
Wood lands a really nice looking cross but Brooks seems unphased.

enabling Wood to counter with a crisp jab.

Brooks misses with a low kick.
Brooks throws a body shot but no joy.
Wood gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Brooks.
A swing and a miss from Wood.

Brooks fakes the body blow, causing Wood to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Wood goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
