Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Syden Bugs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takla Griss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griss is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Furious Angels (Reversed). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griss lands with a thumping leg kick.
Griss throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Syden Bugs has been cut.
Griss avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bugs throws a right hand that Griss ducks under and follows up with a left that Griss also avoids with ease.
Bugs misses with a series of wild punches.
Bugs lands the left hand.
Bugs misses with a wild combination.
Bugs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bugs throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bugs lands a nice shot that snaps Griss's head back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Griss seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Griss is trying to work for a kimura but Bugs is defending well.

Griss is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bugs defends it well.
Griss passes the guard and advances to mount!
Griss lands with some strikes.

Bugs taking shots to the head.
Griss sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Griss landing punches.
Bugs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Griss on the ground.
The referee warns Bugs that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Griss postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bugs looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Griss looking to secure an arm triangle but Bugs defends it well.
Griss lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Griss jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bugs manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Griss takes a little break here. Bugs wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Bugs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bugs tries to get out of the position.

I looks like Griss might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Griss rushes Bugs and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bugs is trying to break free.
Griss tries to land a knee to the head but Bugs blocks with his arms.
Griss looking to throw knees to the head but Bugs is blocking nicely.
Bugs tries to break the clinch but Griss is controlling the position.
Griss lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Griss throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bugs avoiding damage as Griss throws knees to the body.
Bugs wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Griss has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Griss's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Griss takes the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Griss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bugs falls off balance throwing a combination
and Griss counters with a head kick.

Bugs misses with a double jab

and Griss counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Griss trying to control but Bugs is working from the bottom.
Bugs can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Griss controls the pace.

Griss is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Griss drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Griss as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bugs screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Griss! Nice submission victory there!
