Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sting Fire (ranked 740 p4p, 2170 weight class) and Dani Holguin (ranked 26 p4p, 82 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sting Fire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dani Holguin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holguin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Fire misses the target.
Holguin wants to clinch up but Fire keeps it at a distance.
Holguin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Fire counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fire leaves Holguin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Holguin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fire manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It looked like Fire wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fire keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fire was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holguin wants to clinch up but Fire keeps it at a distance.

Holguin can't get the takedown.
Sting Fire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dani Holguin.

Holguin tightens his grip and picks Fire up, before dumping him to the ground. Fire manages to land in guard.
Fire controls Holguin momentarily but Holguin frees himself.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Fire tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Holguin manages to circle out of the way.
Fire avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dani Holguin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Holguin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fire's guard.
Fire can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Holguin controls the pace.

Holguin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Holguin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fire tries to buck Holguin off but Holguin is having none of it.

Fire is looking to regain half guard here but Holguin keeps moving and retains side control.
Fire is holding Holguin down, trying to stall.
Fire tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Holguin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Fire's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Holguin advances to mount.
Fire is squirming around, avoiding Holguin's attempts to control the action.

Fire wants to control but Holguin is having none of it.
Fire tries to reverse the position but Holguin maintains control.
Holguin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Holguin lands a nice shot to the head.

It looks like Sting Fire has been cut.
A big strike lands for Holguin! That's really hurt Fire and he's turned his back - Holguin keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Holguin jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dani Holguin!
A relieved looking Dani Holguin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
