The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bambrough is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jurgen.

and Jurgen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Jurgen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bambrough is fending him off so far but Jurgen persists. Nope, Bambrough circles away and we're back to standing.

Bambrough lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Jurgen sprawling to the canvas. Bambrough follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Jurgen hang on?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bambrough is looking for a kimura but Jurgen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bambrough to get the leverage.

Bambrough tries to stand and escape but Jurgen is controlling the position.
Jurgen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bambrough is working away from the top position though.

and Bambrough counters with a three punch combo that has Jurgen backing up. Jurgen nods at Bambrough to acknowledge the strikes.

Jurgen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jurgen is breathing heavily.
Bambrough misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Bambrough dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Paul Jurgen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bambrough looks to land a combination but Jurgen avoids it well.
Jurgen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bambrough finds it's way round the side to connect with Jurgen's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bambrough drops Jurgen with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Jurgen! Bambrough dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
