The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yonic darts in and clinches PG up against the cage.
PG lands with a short punch from the clinch.
PG lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

PG wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Yonic manages to pass to side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yonic is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yonic throws some wild stikes that PG manages to avoid easily.
PG on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if PG tries to get out of the position.

It looks like Yonic might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Let's hope that Yonic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Yonic.

Yonic goes for a double leg but PG avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as PG continues to drive forward.

Island Yonic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

PG fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

and Yonic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Yonic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Yonic dives in and grabs PG's left leg, looking for a takedown. PG pushes down on Yonic's head and hops out.
We've been told by PG's head coaches at Clinch Pride that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
PG lands a nice shot that snaps Yonic's head back.
Yonic is still on wobbly legs! Can PG finish him?

and PG counters with a huge left! Yonic is in big trouble! He's backing up but PG isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Yonic from any more damage. A dominating finish by PG!
