Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fionn Cumhaill (ranked 2663 p4p, 3157 weight class) and Nikolai Vladski (ranked 342 p4p, 395 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fionn Cumhaill!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nikolai Vladski!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cumhaill!
Cumhaill wants to get back to his feet but Vladski drags him back down.
Vladski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cumhaill has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cumhaill is looking to regain half guard here but Vladski keeps moving and retains side control.
Vladski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vladski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vladski creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cumhaill sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Vladski swings around for an armbar but Cumhaill sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vladski's guard.
Vladski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vladski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cumhaill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cumhaill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cumhaill tries to free his leg and advance position but Vladski is retaining full guard.

Cumhaill advances position into side control!
Cumhaill is looking to take a break and control but Vladski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vladski is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Vladski is looking for a sweep.
Cumhaill is trying to get an arm triangle but Vladski is defending well.
Vladski tries to improve position but can't.

Cumhaill advances to full mount.
Vladski has given up his back. Will we see Cumhaill going for some submissions?
Cumhaill working for the choke.
Cumhaill is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Vladski is defending well though. Cumhaill let's go of the attempt for now.

Cumhaill goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Vladski escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Vladski wants to stand up but Cumhaill manages to regain full guard.
Vladski is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cumhaill has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Vladski is looking to defend but Cumhaill has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Vladski! Cumhaill pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Vladski taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Fionn Cumhaill!
