Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Mama (ranked 4411 p4p, 4581 weight class) and Takanori Nakano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

Nakano pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Mama throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nakano was covering up waiting for the punch and Mama finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mama will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nakano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mama wants to control from the top but Nakano keeps moving.
Nakano is adopting a defensive guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nakano has his foot on Mama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mama works his way back into a safe position though.
Mama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakano swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nakano wants to stand and escape but Mama is having none of it.
Mama is looking to work some ground and pound but Nakano has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nakano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mama tries to keep at a distance but Nakano has taken the fight into the clinch.
Nakano swings wildly with an uppercut but Mama uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nakano is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nakano fails to pull guard.

Mama is trying to trip Nakano. He has hold of a leg but Nakano is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mama persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Nakano is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Nakano manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mama manages to get himself to full guard.

Mama wants to get back to his feet but Nakano is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mama is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A close round but Takanori Nakano will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mama moves out of range as Nakano throws a body kick.

Nakano changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mama looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Nakano is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Mama looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nakano gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Mama is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nakano lets go of the hold and Mama can pop his arm back in it's socket.
