Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sky Genie!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Genie tries to clinch but fails miserably
so Der Veer Jr counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Der Veer Jr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Genie wants to sweep here but Der Veer Jr controlling him for the moment.
Der Veer Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Genie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Der Veer Jr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Genie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Der Veer Jr is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Genie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Der Veer Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Genie stops a takedown attempt from Der Veer Jr.

Der Veer Jr is trying to trip Genie. He has hold of a leg but Genie is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Der Veer Jr persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Genie throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Genie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Der Veer Jr controls the pace.

Der Veer Jr drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Der Veer Jr as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Genie screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Der Veer Jr! Nice submission victory there!
