Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ireland shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kelly as he avoids it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ireland.
Ireland closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kelly circles away.
John Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Ireland.
Ireland closes the distance and clinches up with Kelly, looking for a takedown. Ireland pushes Kelly against the ropes but Kelly circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kelly has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ireland. Oh but Kelly has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ireland goes limp - he's gone! Kelly jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
