The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin doesn't manage to clinch there - Emeleanenkis circles away.
Emeleanenkis is looking to clinch.

Griffin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Griffin tries to pass to full mount but Emeleanenkis defends it.
Emeleanenkis makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Emeleanenkis.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Emeleanenkis wriggles free and stands up.
Griffin throws a head kick that misses.
Emeleanenkis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Emeleanenkis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Griffin throws out the jab.
Emeleanenkis is looking to clinch but Griffin is avoiding it.
Griffin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Emeleanenkis tries to clinch up but Griffin circles away and keeps his distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Griffin throws a right and a left that both miss.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Emeleanenkis tightens his grip and picks Griffin up, before dumping him to the ground. Griffin manages to land in guard.

Emeleanenkis is posturing up here but Griffin has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Emeleanenkis tries to roll out but it's too tight and Emeleanenkis has to tap! Slick submission there by Griffin!
