Duterte throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Duterte lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Duterte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cooper was well out of range. Poor timing from Duterte.
Cooper wants to clinch.
Duterte is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Cooper tries to clinch up but Duterte circles away and keeps his distance.
Duterte lands a two punch combo.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Duterte throws a hook to the side of Cooper's head but Cooper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Duterte tries to bum rush Cooper with a series of wild strikes but Cooper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Duterte looks to land a combination but Cooper avoids it well.
Cooper tries to close the distance and clinch but Duterte swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Duterte connects with a looping right hand.
and Duterte counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Cooper! He's just covering up as Duterte starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gene Steve Duterte!
Gene Steve Duterte bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
