Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junichi Sasai (ranked 3568 p4p, 6077 weight class) and Monty Pyke (ranked 437 p4p, 570 weight class). Sasai comes to the cage accompanied by I Love Trash. Pyke has chosen Uptown Top Ranking as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junichi Sasai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Monty Pyke!

Sasai scores with a nice strike.
Pyke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sasai's waist but Sasai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pyke off to one side.
Sasai misses the shot to the body.
As Sasai backs off Pyke throws a huge counter combo but Sasai manages to avoid it all.
Decent striking displayed by Sasai there.
Sasai lands the left hand.

Sasai gets caught napping as Pyke dives in and scores a takedown. Sasai manages to retain guard.
Pyke wants to pass the guard but Sasai is keeping the position.
Pyke wants to control from the top but Sasai keeps moving.
Pyke looking to sit in guard and control but Sasai gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pyke has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sasai has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pyke is working for takedown but Sasai is calmly controlling the position for now.
Sasai drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sasai goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pyke prevents it.

Pyke tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sasai drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pyke gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junichi Sasai. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A short body shot lands from Pyke as the two fighters clinch.
Sasai on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Sasai definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Sasai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Pyke lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sasai.

Sasai escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sasai tests Pyke's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pyke gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Pyke misses with an uppercut. Sasai saw that one coming.
Pyke drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pyke throws a right and a left that Sasai avoids nicely.
Sasai uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pyke has time to react.
Pyke takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Sasai punishes Pyke's body with a nice straight punch.
Pyke is still on wobbly legs! Can Sasai finish him?
Sasai is stalking Pyke. Pyke circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Sasai, and it's lights out! Pyke really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

In his post fight interview, Junichi Sasai started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
The defeated Monty Pyke had this to say: 'Well damn, that's pretty rough. Oh well, I'll be back better than ever soon enough.'.
