Shoemaker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Willington Iii.
Willington Iii shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shoemaker as he jumps to the side.

and Shoemaker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Willington Iii's guard.

Shoemaker throws a strike but Willington Iii rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Willington Iii is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Shoemaker can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Willington Iii stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
A jab-cross combination lands for Shoemaker and sends Willington Iii crashing to the mat! Shoemaker follows him down to the mat - Willington Iii regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Shoemaker connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Willington Iii covering up! Shoemaker comes in with a big uppercut and Willington Iii goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). George Shoemaker!
