Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Funktron Deluxe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deluxe fails to land the takedown.
Deluxe just misses with a punch to the body.
Deluxe shoots for a double leg takedown but Law sprawls well. He's pushed Deluxe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Law pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Deluxe clinches with his opponent.
Deluxe lands a body punch.
Law is trying to maintain a safe position but Deluxe gets an underhook and turns Law into the cage.

Deluxe jumps guard and drags Law to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Law changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Deluxe tries to avoid it but Law manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Deluxe to the ground. Deluxe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Deluxe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Deluxe drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deluxe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Law is one step ahead there.
Law stands and throws Deluxe's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Law shoots in and drives through. Deluxe sprawls well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Deluxe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Deluxe is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Law manages to get to full guard.

Law moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deluxe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Law is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Deluxe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Law's back instead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
