Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Gagarin (ranked 6218 p4p, 3299 weight class) and Jack McScramble (ranked 552 p4p, 392 weight class). Jack McScramble has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Gagarin lands a nice shot to the body.
McScramble waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gagarin.
McScramble swings for the body but Gagarin moves out of range.
Gagarin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A looping hook to the body misses from McScramble. Gagarin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gagarin slaps away a takedown attempt from McScramble, before circling back to the center of the mat.

McScramble dives in and scores a takedown into Gagarin's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McScramble has gone for a leg lock! Gagarin slips out almost immediately though and dives into McScramble's guard.

Gagarin wants to control from the top but McScramble keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gagarin looking to sit in guard and control but McScramble gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gagarin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McScramble wants to control from the top but Gagarin keeps moving.

McScramble is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gagarin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gagarin has escaped and now he's on top!

Gagarin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

McScramble lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

McScramble is pushing down on Gagarin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gagarin is fighting to maintain full guard but McScramble has managed to sneak the leg through.
McScramble is trying to control the action in half guard but Gagarin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

McScramble is trying to work for a kimura but Gagarin is defending well.
McScramble moves nicely into side control.
Gagarin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McScramble on the ground.

McScramble works to advance to full mount. Gagarin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

McScramble cracks Gagarin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

McScramble is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gagarin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McScramble fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
McScramble is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gagarin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
McScramble is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Gagarin looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McScramble cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw McScramble working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Gagarin is wriggling around trying to escape.
McScramble breaks from Gagarin's wrist control and lands an elbow.

McScramble working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Gagarin turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips McScramble off and cradles Gagarin's limp body as McScramble celebrates with his corner.

After winning the bout, Jack McScramble thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
