Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pendragon gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Newton pushes Pendragon off looking to stand but Pendragon dives back in and keeps control.
Pendragon moves nicely into side control.
Pendragon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Pendragon swings around for an armbar but Newton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pendragon's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pendragon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Newton for as long as he can get away with.
