Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Volkenhause (ranked 5922 p4p, 24244 weight class) and Martin Rusnak (ranked 538 p4p, 614 weight class). Volkenhause comes to the cage accompanied by Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf. Martin Rusnak looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Rusnak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rusnak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Volkenhause controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rusnak working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Volkenhause.
Volkenhause seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Volkenhause in particular looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Volkenhause throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rusnak has his hands clasped together but Volkenhause breaks the hold and Rusnak is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Volkenhause!

Sammy Volkenhause opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
