Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freitas closes the distance and clinches up with Nogueira, looking for a takedown. Freitas pushes Nogueira against the cage but Nogueira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nogueira keeps the fight on the outside.
Nogueira shoots for a double leg takedown but Freitas sprawls well. He's pushed Nogueira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nogueira fails with the takedown.
Freitas lands a lovely overhand right.
Diego Freitas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freitas scores with a takedown into Nogueira's guard.
Freitas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nogueira is proving hard to escape from.
Nogueira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Freitas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Freitas trying to control the position from guard on top but Nogueira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nogueira looking for a guillotine here but Freitas defends easily.
Nogueira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Freitas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nogueira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Freitas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Freitas stays in close to Nogueira's body and controls the position.
Nogueira is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Freitas frees his head nicely. Oh but Nogueira has switched to an armbar! Freitas is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
