Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Donny Jay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Scott Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.

Thomas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thomas defending well as Jay loads up on a big left hand.
Jay throws a big shot that misses.
Thomas lands with a nice body punch.
Jay scores with a spinning back kick!
Jay throws a looping overhand right but Thomas ducks down to avoid it.
A countering left hand to the body from Thomas misses.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jay. Thomas shrugs it off though.
Donny Jay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jay takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Thomas throws out a counter right but Jay avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thomas connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jay. Jay circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Thomas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Jay throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Thomas looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jay misses with a straight left.
Thomas blocks a jab.

and Thomas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jay thinking.
Jay tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Thomas let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Jay cracks Thomas with an open hand slap.
Jay on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Thomas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jay looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jay doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jay shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thomas sprawls well. Thomas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jay gets slowly back to his feet.

Thomas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Thomas scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jay throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thomas doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Jay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thomas moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jay looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Thomas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Thomas is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jay had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Thomas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Thomas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jay takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Thomas digs a good body shot into Jay's ribs.
Jay throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Scott Thomas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jay takes a swing at Thomas's ribcage but misses.
Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nice takedown defense from Thomas. No joy for Jay on that attempt.
Jay is breathing heavily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jay.

Jay fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Thomas dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Thomas throws out a powerful jab.
Thomas connects with a body shot that sends Jay's belly button to the back.
Thomas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jay momentarily.
Jay shoots in for a takedown but Thomas shows good takedown defense.
Thomas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jay stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A jab from Thomas does it's job there.
Thomas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jay doesn't seem bothered though.
Jay is looking to clinch but Thomas is avoiding it.

Jay moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Thomas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Thomas scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Jay just misses with a punch to the body.

and Thomas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jay thinking.

Oh Jay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jay misses with an uppercut. Thomas saw that one coming.
As Jay backs off Thomas throws a huge counter combo but Jay manages to avoid it all.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Jay might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Thomas drops Jay with a naaaaasty hook - Jay is in real trouble here! Thomas dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Thomas!
Scott Thomas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
