Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Gow (ranked 2878 p4p, 2938 weight class) and Nikolai Tsavieva (ranked 340 p4p, 344 weight class). Shaun Gow has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shaun Gow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikolai Tsavieva!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.

Gow looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Gow throws a low kick but Tsavieva moves out of range easily.

Gow manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Gow wants to break free but Tsavieva has control.

Tsavieva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gow walks away with a smile on his face. Tsavieva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

That was a close round but I would say that Shaun Gow will probably get the nod.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shaun Gow will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tsavieva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gow wants to get back to his feet but Tsavieva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gow's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gow duly obliges.
A left lands for Tsavieva.
Tsavieva dives in and grabs Gow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gow pushes down on Tsavieva's head and hops out.

Gow lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gow.

Tsavieva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gow is trying to defend but Tsavieva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Gow is kicking away at Tsavieva from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Tsavieva grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Gow trying to push Tsavieva off... Gow taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
