Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bad Fighter (ranked 7220 p4p, 25271 weight class) and Affectionately Eve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Affectionately Eve has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Eve misses with a takedown attempt - Fighter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As Eve backs away, Fighter returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Eve changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fighter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fighter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eve decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fighter to his feet.

Eve fails with a takedown attempt.
Fighter shoots for a double leg takedown but Eve sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Eve thinks about the counter body kick.
Fighter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Eve avoids it really well and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Eve fails with the takedown
and Fighter counters with a two punch combo.
Bad Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Affectionately Eve.

Eve throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fighter was covering up waiting for the punch and Eve finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Eve tries to free his leg and advance position but Fighter is retaining full guard.

Eve wanted to stand there but Fighter had control of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter wants to stand up but Eve is controlling him.

Eve gets to his feet. Fighter looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fighter.

A close round but Affectionately Eve will probably get the nod.

and Eve counters with a single leg into guard. Fighter didn't expect that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Eve wanted to stand there but Fighter had control of the position.

Eve is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Eve is continuing to stall.

Eve stands up and waves to Fighter to follow him.
Fighter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Eve.
Fighter quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Fighter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bad Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eve shoots in but no luck this time.
Fighter is looking to counter with a body kick.

Fighter gets caught napping as Eve dives in and scores a takedown. Fighter manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fighter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eve controls the pace.

Eve wants to stand but Fighter has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fighter wants to get back to his feet but Eve passes into half guard.

Affectionately Eve showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Eve appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Eve shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eve's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fighter enables Eve to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fighter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fighter pushes Eve off and gets back to his feet.

Eve shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Eve stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Fighter shoots in looking for a takedown. Eve tries to sprawl out of it but Fighter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eve manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bad Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Affectionately Eve is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fighter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Eve's sensitive parts.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bad Fighter.
I think Eve has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
