Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elmore James (ranked 1304 p4p, 2270 weight class) and Dave Brooksbank (ranked 172 p4p, 272 weight class). Brooksbank decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
James wants to control but Brooksbank is keeping busy and won't allow it.

James is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Brooksbank is trying to control. James wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Brooksbank works his foot free and advances to mount.
Brooksbank is looking to work his way around to James's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
James is just holding on here. Brooksbank manages to take his back.

Brooksbank is trying to stick to James's back but James is turning into Brooksbank. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Brooksbank's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by James.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Elmore James will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

James circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Brooksbank to the canvas! Brooksbank doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - James keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
