Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Umber (ranked 748 p4p, 1560 weight class) and David Tua (ranked 93 p4p, 182 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Umber might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Red Hot Chili Peppers - Aeroplane. Jon Umber has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Umber swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tua keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Umber.
Tua is looking for the big counter here.
Umber connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tua momentarily.
Umber throws a sloppy head kick and Tua moves out of range easily.

Tua looks to land a left hand but Umber moved out of range nicely.

Tua ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Tua has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Umber throws a leg kick
and as Umber loses concentration momentarily, Tua counters with a picture perfect head kick! Umber goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). David Tua !

David Tua seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Jon Umber spoke after the fight, saying 'I like pleasure spiked with pain, and music is my aeroplane . . . '.
