Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rastaphan Dominatrix (ranked 2557 p4p, 23200 weight class) and Illegal Immigrant (ranked 0 p4p, 644 weight class). Immigrant has chosen Immigrant Song as his entrance music. Rastaphan Dominatrix has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Immigrant fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dominatrix looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Illegal Immigrant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Rastaphan Dominatrix has been cut.

Dominatrix fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Immigrant sprawls well initially but Dominatrix persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dominatrix throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Immigrant tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dominatrix is in Immigrant's guard.

Dominatrix doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Immigrant connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rastaphan Dominatrix. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dominatrix is breathing heavily.
Immigrant works the jab nicely.
Immigrant dodges the punch combination from Dominatrix.

Immigrant drops Dominatrix with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dominatrix looks back up at him and smiles so Immigrant waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dominatrix closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Immigrant did well to prevent Dominatrix getting side control.
Immigrant wants to improve his position but Dominatrix is controlling well.
Immigrant pushes Dominatrix off looking to stand but Dominatrix dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Immigrant is trying to stand up here but Dominatrix is controlling him well.
Dominatrix takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dominatrix seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Immigrant for as long as he can get away with.
Dominatrix has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters circle momentarily. Immigrant darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Dominatrix shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Immigrant napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Immigrant has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Immigrant is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Rastaphan Dominatrix overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
You can see the frustration on Immigrant's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dominatrix decides to stand back up. Dominatrix steps back and let's Immigrant get back to his feet.

A nice side step and Immigrant releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Jeez, Rastaphan Dominatrix's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
