Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Marco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Johan Marco enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johan Marco!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marco misses with the combination.
Webster shoots in but no luck this time.
Webster fails with a takedown attempt.
Webster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Webster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Webster shoots in for a double leg but Marco sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck for Webster with that takedown attempt.

Marco drives through and clinches with Webster against the cage.
Marco unloads a knee to the mid-section. Webster lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Webster is breathing heavily.
Webster goes for a takedown attempt but Marco pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Marco darts in and clinches Webster up against the cage.
Webster jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Marco walks away with a smile on his face. Webster gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Marco throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Marco lands a nice knee to the body.

Marco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Marco lands an elbow just above Webster 's eye.


It looks like James Webster has been cut.

Marco turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Marco is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Webster knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Marco connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Webster some visible discomfort.
Check out the look on Marco's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Marco has closed the distance and engaged Webster in a clinch.

Marco gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Marco keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Webster's head.
Marco stands and throws Webster's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Marco is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Webster is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Webster is looking for a sweep.

Marco decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Marco keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Marco fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Webster, pushing him back against the cage.

Marco gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Webster regains guard.

Webster is looking for a triangle but Marco pushes his legs off easily.
Marco is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Webster has his foot on Marco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marco works his way back into a safe position though.

Marco is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Webster jumps guard but Marco stands there with Webster around his waist. Webster gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marco lands a nice short elbow.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Webster looks for a takedown but Marco sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Marco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marco throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Websters head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Johan Marco is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Marco is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Webster can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well Marco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
