Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Lewis (ranked 4713 p4p, 4909 weight class) and Rage Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rage Barron!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.

Barron misses with a lunging right hand
and Lewis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Barron fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lewis manages to avoid it.

Barron moves into the clinch.
Nice body punch from Barron - that landed with a thud.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Barron.
Lewis can't break the clinch.
Barron is struggling to control the position.
Lewis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Barron avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lewis tries to break free but Barron pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lewis darts in looking for a takedown but Barron gets double underhooks and turns Lewis into the cage.
Barron let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lewis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barron sprawls well. Barron wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet.
Lewis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barron is fending him off so far but Lewis persists. Nope, Barron circles away and we're back to standing.

Lewis is breathing heavily.

Barron misses with a head kick.
Lewis appears to be looking for a big counter.

It looks like James Lewis has been cut.
Rage Barron is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Barron has taken the fight to the clinch.
Barron works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Barron is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Barron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barron swats away the attempt to clinch by Lewis.

Barron throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Barron digs a right hand into Lewis's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lewis's gas tank.

Barron breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barron lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Barron throws a good cross that connects.
Barron throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Barron rushes Lewis and presses him up against the cage.
Lewis is looking to take this one to the mat.
Still in the clinch, Barron scores with a nice short uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Barron escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barron throws a shot from downtown. Lewis moves away and avoids it.
Barron lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Barron lands a leg kick that knocks Lewis off balance momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Barron has managed to clinch.

Barron escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Barron closes the distance and clinches.

Lewis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lewis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Barron should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Barron is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Barron throws a strike but Lewis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on James Lewis's cut.
That's time! Lewis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sloppy strikes from Barron. Those never looked like landing.
Barron misses with a body shot.
Lewis avoids a kick to the body.
It looked like Lewis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Rage Barron seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lewis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Barron defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lewis.
Barron swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
James Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Barron lands with a hook. Lewis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Lewis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barron swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Barron unleashes a big counter combination but Lewis bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Lewis misses with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Barron moves into range and clinches up with Lewis.

Barron breaks from the clinch.

Barron throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Barron thumps Lewis with a low kick.
Lewis shoots for a double leg takedown but Barron sprawls well. He's pushed Lewis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barron throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Lewis takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Lewis takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

James Lewis's cut is getting worse.

Barron fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lewis, pushing him back against the cage.

Barron pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barron throws out a powerful jab.
James Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barron sizes up Lewis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Barron closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Lewis! Barron dives in looking to finish! Lewis is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rage Barron!
