Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nyrkki Hippa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azis Hasis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hasis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Manu Chao - King Of Bongo. Azis Hasis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hippa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hasis but Hasis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hasis moves in looking to clinch but Hippa pushes him off.

Hippa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hasis's guard.

Hasis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hippa tries to avoid it but Hasis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hippa to the ground. Hippa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Good leg kick by Hippa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Hasis shoots for a takedown but Hippa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hippa throws a right and a left that Hasis avoids nicely.

Hasis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hasis is looking for a kimura but Hippa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hasis to get the leverage.

Hasis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hippa defends it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hasis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hasis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hippa stacks Hasis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hippa!
