Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Buchannon (ranked 6512 p4p, 3110 weight class) and Juan Goops (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buchannon comes into the arena with Thunderstruck ACDC blaring out of the sound system. Derrick Buchannon looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Derrick Buchannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.

Buchannon scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Goops showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Buchannon.
Goops lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Goops throws a sloppy head kick
and Buchannon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Buchannon connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Buchannon lands a glancing blow to the side of Goops's head.
Buchannon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Goops tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Buchannon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Goops looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Goops wants to stand but Buchannon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Goops prevents Buchannon from getting back to his feet.
Goops wants to control from the top but Buchannon keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buchannon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Goops wants to pass the guard but Buchannon is keeping the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Goops throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Goops gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Buchannon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Goops won't be happy with that.
Goops is looking to get back to his feet here but Buchannon is keeping cool and he's managed to take Goops's back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Buchannon keeps control of the position as Goops tries to break free.
Buchannon is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Goops with him. Goops is trying to defend but Buchannon has an arm under the chin now! Goops grimaces and is forced to tap out!
