Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ove Juve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.

Diaz fails with an attempt to clinch.

Juve shoots in for a double leg but Diaz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Diaz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Juve manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Juve sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Diaz's guard.

Juve is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Juve is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Diaz!

Juve has hold of Diaz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diaz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Juve can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diaz is looking to escape.
Juve avoids the attempt from Diaz to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Juve is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Diaz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Diaz shrugs it off.

Juve takes Diaz's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Diaz is in trouble.
Juve has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Juve. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Juve is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Diaz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Juve working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Diaz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Juve off and cradles Diaz's limp body as Juve celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Ove Juve!
Ove Juve decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
